ModiCare on the lines of Obamacare, free treatment for everyone

In fact, the government has given green signal to the new health policy on the lines of America's Obamacare. In today's House, Health Minister, JP Nadda explained the advantages of the policy. He said that now everyone will be treated and if a hospital refuses treatment, then a Tribunal will be formed to complain against them. JP Nadda said that the new policy will empower patients and reduce the tension of treatment. They described it completely different from the previous policy.

The facility of prepaid healthcare service will be provided in the government's new health policy. Everyone will be given better treatment at affordable rates. Diabetes and blood pressure will be examined for all people. Under the new health policy, one amount will be given for the treatment of the patient. The government's focus on reducing maternal and infant mortality rates through a new health policy. Under the scheme, medicines will be provided to the hospital on behalf of the government and all hospitals will have access to testing equipment.

There is a plan to promote digitization in government health sector. In addition, district hospitals will be excluded from government control. There is an emphasis on strengthening first aid, and free medicines and free check-up will be provided for this. The government is aiming to eliminate Kalraj by the end of 2017. Also, by 2025, the goal of reducing blindness is 25 percent.

A new health policy will burden the government treasury with an estimated amount of around Rs 3 lakh crore. Health expenditure will go up to 2.5 percent of GDP, while on health now, GDP costs 1.05 percent. Under this scheme, the private hospital will get the funds for treatment.

Significantly, the health sector is dominated by private hospitals. The private health care industry is close to Rs 2.5 lakh crore and private sector has 70-80 per cent market share. Only 20 percent of people depend on governmental treatment. The annual investment in the health sector is just about Rs 12,500 crore. The proportion of expenditure in the new health scheme will be 60:40 as before. State and Center will spend together. Center will bear 90 per cent of the cost in hill states There will be no cess on the new health policy.

Not only this, the effort of the Government to supply essential medicines is also going on. Prices will be reduced through public drug and amrit center. The government has increased spending on health in the last two years. In the coming time, the government plans to convert 1.5 lakhs of all health centers to the Wellness Center.
